The brightness and virtuosity, depth, and variety of forms in this program sparked lively interest among viewers, inspiring Nikolai Medvedev to create an updated version, based on classical baroque and classical jazz, complemented by the penetrating intimate lyricism of Francis Poulenc.
World-famous songs by Gershwin in a brilliant arrangement by the outstanding American pianist E. Wild, virtuoso compositions by the Russian-Ukrainian jazz composer N. Kapustin combined with the immortal masterpieces of J.S. Bach and the Nocturnes of F. Poulenc created over a long period of time make this program truly unforgettable.
